Ethical Practices

Ivory & co. Ethical Company Ethos

Ethical practices are at the heart of what we do.  We work to ensure that the human rights of the crafts people who work on our designs are respected, making bridal supply chains more responsible.  This includes fair pay, safe working conditions and no human rights abuses.

We only work with partners with either a Supplier Code of Conduct or a full SMETA audit :

  • Code of Conduct – this requirement ensures high standards of working conditions as well as fair and respectful treatment of employees and ethical practices in the workplace.

  • SMETA Audit – this is a rigorous testing called an ethical methodology which encompasses all aspects of responsible business practice.  The 4 pillars of the audit are standards of labour, heath & safety, environmental performance and ethics.  The full audit includes a site tour of production, reviewing of labour contracts, training and payroll records as well as worker interviews.

So you can know that the pieces you pick for your wedding day have been crafted as part of a responsible bridal chain.
